The Basics

• Each restaurant has a pin on the map.
• The color of the pin represents the current wait time.
• Click on a pin to get more info.
• Depending on the zoom level and settings, the name of the restaurant may be displayed below the pin.

Basic Pin Types
Red = long wait. More than 30 minutes.
Yellow = moderate wait. Less than 30 minutes.
Green = short wait or no wait. Less than 10 minutes.
Grey = closed. Restaurant is currently closed.
White = lost contact. We haven't heard from this restaurant in a while.
Blue = non-TablesUp restaurant. This restaurant is not a TablesUp restaurant (yet), so no wait time information is available. It is provided on the map for reference only.
Pin Options - show additional information
Star = promotion. This restaurant is currently offering a promotion of some kind. Click on the pin for more information.
Clock = happy hour. This restaurant is currently having happy hour.
Martini = bar wait time. Some restaurants post a separate wait time for their bar. In this example, the restaurant (main pin) is busy (red = more than 30 minutes), but the bar is not (green = less than 10 minutes). The bar can be any of the colors shown above.

Map

The Map is the easiest way to look for restaurants nearby, across town, or in another city.
• Click on pins to bring up the Details pop-up for more information.
• To pan around the map, click & drag the cursor on the map area, or use the circular pan control on the right edge of the map.
• To zoom, use the +/- zoom control on the right edge of the map.
• To see a street view, click & drag the street view icon to the location of interest.

Map Controls
Open the Filter pop-up to change the Map filter settings. You also click on Filter under MAP on the menu bar, or at the bottom left of the page.
GPS moves the map center to your current location as determined by your browser. When you first bring up the Map page, your browser may ask you for permission to disclose your current location. Click "OK" or "Allow" for the GPS button to work as expected.
Last returns the map center to the last restaurant you clicked on. The last restaurant pin will bounce up and down for a few seconds to highlight its location.
Home brings the map center to a "home" location that you specify in the Filter pop-up. This allows you to easily look at neighborhoods or cities away from your current GPS location. The "home" location is marked by a blue flag on the map.

List

The List on the left side of the page is another way to look for restaurants.
• Scroll the List using the scroll bar.
• Click on any list entry to re-center the map on that restaurant, and bring up the Details pop-up for more information.

List Entries

Each entry in the List contains:

• A pin icon showing the restaurant's status

List Controls
Open the Filter pop-up to change the List filter settings. You also click on Filter under MAP on the menu bar, or at the bottom left of the page.
Use the Search box to narrow your search. Type the first few letters of a restaurant name. Only restaurants that match the search box will be shown in the List. Clear the text from the Search box to see the full List again.
Click on the "X" button to clear the Search box.
